Feb 2020 – Echoes of the Fall by Hank Early – Author present!

Photo Feb 18, 9 59 18 PM (2)THANK YOU Author Hank Early (and wife Becky) for joining our very rainy evening of Birmingham Literary Society’s meeting.  Thank you Diane Masters for being the most delightful hostess and opening your home to us!

There’s a humorous saying going around the internet ‘Roses are wet, violets are wet, everything is wet. Please stop raining.’  EXACTLY.  Rain rain go away! Holy snap I can’t remember it raining so much!  I’m sure you’re following the current wet mood that it’s been VERY WET in Birmingham – all over the South for that matter.   Tonight was no exception!  Thanks to everyone who showed up to hear our author and friend Hank Early along with his sweet as punch wife Becky!  Both educators, they dared the wetlands of Birmingham (we do not have wetlands fyi) to speak with us about his book Echoes of the Fall which is a 3rd book in a series.

For a Video of the evening click HERE–  sorry for my loud chatter in the background – I have a coveted new tripod/selfie aparatus but alas forgot my microphone which zeroes in on the subject matter and doesn’t pick up EVERYTHING I laugh about or comment on. Sorry – mean it!

We completely enjoyed the book along with the rough and tough Earl Marcus.  We loved spending the evening talking with Hank Early on the how, why and where he came up with the characters, his past writing projects and future writing projects (hoping for Southern Gothic!).  This is the second time we’ve been honored to have Mr. Early attend one of our meetings.  If you’re LUCKY enough – you can spot him at one of my favorite coffee haunts O’Henry’s in Homewood where he sits nested writing.   Careful not to disturb his creative flow!

You can also order all three books from Amazon!

Another super fun meeting in the books ladies!!!  Gosh I love our book club.

*Make sure you follow the lovely ladies of Birmingham Literary Society book blog so that you don’t miss a meeting! We do not have a secret handshake – yet ::::giggling::::
