Our June read was the Sunday Lunch Club by Juliet Ashton – thank you to Carol for hosting!!!

What a quippy funny English culture kind of book.

The first rule of Sunday Lunch Club is … don’t make any afternoon plans. Every few Sundays, Anna and her extended family and friends get together for lunch. They talk, they laugh, they bicker, they eat too much. Sometimes the important stuff is left unsaid, other times it’s said in the wrong way.

There’s just something about English humor that makes me giggle.   Loved how the chapters began with a recipe which you could as some point tell who was hosting by the ingredients I think.
